At Direct Health, Dr. Mittal Patel’s goal is to provide compassionate, personalized care that has been a hallmark of general practice since the beginning of time. Our practice’s philosophy is based on trust, quality time, & transparency between the patient and doctor.
I’m a board-certified family physician with over 15 years of experience. After training at the Medical College of Georgia, I discovered my passion for family medicine and my deep connection to Augusta.
I founded DirectHealth Primary Care to bring back what matters most in medicine: time to listen, build trust, and provide truly personalized care. My special focus is on women’s health, wellness, and weight management—because small changes can make a big difference.Outside the clinic, I enjoy cooking, hiking, and traveling with my husband and our two children, experiences that enrich both my life and the care I provide.

What is Direct Health Primary Care?
The Direct Health Primary Care (DPC) is an innovative healthcare model that removes the complex and costly billing system of our current insurance based health care. Physicians partner with their patients to provide primary care services under a flat, periodic membership fee. By allowing the focus to shift from billing and finances to personalized health care, patients are provided with substantial savings, more access and time with their physicians, and no fee-for-service third party payer billing.
Membership based models allow patients to have access to their primary care physician via in-office visits, and unlimited communication by phone, email and text. A key principle of Direct Health Primary Care (DPC) is to foster a strong relationship between the patient and physician. Through this relationship, you and your physician work together to meet your health care goals.
